Our New Program to support MSMEs with grant According to Commissioner

Grant: According to the Kaduna State Government, funds will be provided this year to assist MSMEs or micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.

This was revealed on Monday in Kaduna by the state’s commissioner for business innovation and technology, Mrs. Patience Fakai.

She clarified that the ministry would cover all 23 local government areas in the state—all MSMEs—through the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency.

“We have begun working on the various grants that will come on board,” the speaker stated. The governor, however, is primarily interested in accurate statistics regarding eeverySME in the state.

It is essential to support everyone. To get correct statistics, that is what we have been working on for the past few weeks.

To guarantee financial stability, she continued, the ministry would inform and educate the public on how to register enterprises and apply for assistance.

Three skill acquisition cities encompassing the three senatorial zones—Igabi, Soba, and Zangon Kataf—were being built by the state governor.

When the cities were finished, there would be space for women and young people to learn different career skills that would empower them.

“I think that will boost the economy because it will enable young people to find gainful employment, and I’m sure it will also help to slow down the rate of insecurity.”

“These young people would be occupied and would not have time to engage in social vices when they are engaged.”

Regarding tourism, the commissioner stated that the ministry was investigating historical locations, such as Kagoro Hills, Nok Museum, and Queen Amina Historical Site, to stimulate the industry.

She added that the ministry was in the process of creating a tourism strategy that would categorize and grade hotels while guiding travelers and investors and fostering their confidence.

She urged the people of the state to work together and advance the state, noting that the governor was making great efforts to elevate the state to the top.
