NPower News Today 24th Dec: President Bola Tinubu has ordered that the outstanding stipends owing to NPower recipients nationwide be paid out immediately. Following a laborious verification process started and completed by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Tinubu issued his decree.
The decision from the president reportedly received on Wednesday night, has sparked celebration among the nation’s over 400,000 beneficiaries.
Dr. Betta Edu, said it was indeed a renewed hope for the Nigerian youths for the Christmas and New Year festivities,” stated a statement released on Friday by Mr. Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair, the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
The minister observed that President Tinubu’s concern for Nigerian youth was demonstrated by the various policies and initiatives of his administration, many of which were geared toward giving them opportunities.
“By the President’s direction, I remained up till three in the morning at the office with the NPOWER team to make sure NPOWER beneficiaries received their payments before Christmas.
The minister declared, “At this point, I can certify to you that the NPower beneficiaries’ payments have started and the proof is in their bank accounts.”
She wished a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year with their loved ones to the beneficiaries who have been waiting for so long because of the laborious verification process.

The statement said that among the roughly 400,000 recipients who completed the verification process and were paid, “the same confirmation of alert receipt came from Sanni Baba in Bauchi, Enugu, Ibadan, and from Niger state.”
