Latest Npower News – The N-Knowledge initiative, which provided 3,300 recipients with training in software development, hardware handling, animation, scriptwriting, and other life skills, has been successfully completed by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development. The recipients, who have been receiving residential training since February 2023, have finished their coursework and are now expected to start businesses and deliver solutions in their communities.

At the N-Knowledge Expansion Training’s closing ceremony, Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq stated that the program’s goal was to give young Nigerians the necessary training and credentials to become capable employees, innovators, and business owners ready for both the domestic and international digital job market. The training was coordinated in the FCT and included training camps in six geopolitical zones.

Developing Competencies through Training to Create Jobs

The N-Knowledge program supports President Muhammadu Buhari’s initiatives to fight poverty and create jobs, with a particular emphasis on young people who are unemployed. The training aids in the development of lifelong skills that young Nigerians can use to start their own businesses in their communities. The training sessions included a well-structured curriculum that was created to mold the beneficiaries’ decisions about trades so they could become useful to themselves and develop skills that improve production and contribute to the general growth of society.

Certificates of Completion and Starter Packs

The Minister gave the recipients certificates, computers, and workstations at the ceremony held at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria in Abuja. To utilize the abilities acquired during their time at the camp and launch their careers afterward, the beneficiaries were provided with a variety of training resources bundled as “beginning packs.” The beneficiaries received sealed certificates of training completion attesting to excellent conduct and attendance.

Umar Farouq urged the recipients to use the tools provided to launch their own businesses as independent individuals rather than sell their starter packs. The program emphasized the development of skills in software development, hardware handling, and ICT application in the creative sector, all of which are important for mainstreaming Nigerian youths and utilizing the outsourced market for software development.
