NPower Suspension News Today 13 January 2024: The suspension includes the N-Power program Image caption: The suspension includes the N-Power program Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has suspended all the NSIPA anti-poverty programs being implemented across the country.

In a statement that came from the office of the secretary of the country’s governorship, she said that the decision was taken to investigate allegations of corruption between the leadership of the agency and how it manages its programs.

The statement said that all four programs led by the agency, including the N-Power program, the payment of subsidies to the poor the support of small and medium enterprises, and the program to feed primary school students, have been suspended.

The announcement added that at the first stage, the suspension is for six weeks before the investigation on the issue is completed.

President Tinubu also expressed concern over the mistakes in the management of the programs, especially the payment of money to people who benefit from the programs of the agency.

The president also established a committee that will carry out a detailed investigation of the activities of the agency to bring about the necessary changes in the activities of the agency.

“Therefore, all activities of the board including management, payment of fees, and registration have been suspended,” the statement said.

The statement went on to say that President Tinubu wants to assure the citizens and stakeholders that his government is ready to ensure fairness and justice in the programs of the commission, especially for the benefit of the country.
