2023 census adhoc recruitment portal: Media professionals in Nasarawa State have received training from the National Population Commission (NPC) on how to effectively cover the state’s 2023 Population and Housing Census.

Speaking at a one-day workshop on developing capacity for journalists in the state, Mr. Silas Agara, Federal Commissioner of NPC in Nasarawa State, claimed that all of the state’s zones had been completely delineated using contemporary technology.

In order to perform the upcoming census exercise in the state, he revealed that the NPC was properly prepared.

“By the grace of God, we are working seriously to make the census exercise a reality,” he said. “We have scheduled it from March 28 to April 4.”

Mr. Salihu Mohammed-Alkali, the chairman of the state’s NUJ, pledged that journalists in the state would accurately report the census-related events and would behave themselves professionally to prevent disinformation.
