The NCS has received the approval of the government to dispose of seized food items to the needy at a low price after it is satisfied with the National Identification Number (NIN) verification process.

He stressed that, “The groups that are being attacked include artisans, teachers, nurses, religious groups, and other Nigerians in the areas where we are conducting our activities. The aim is to direct members through these initiatives to ensure the greatest impact of this project.”
However, he stressed that the first plan is to provide essential food items to the needy, at the same time that the Nigerian Customs Service is determined to improve its public welfare programs.
“It is necessary for those who benefited from this project to understand that the goods will not be sold again. We take a strong stand against any form of profiteering or taking advantage of this program. We call on Nigerians to report any misuse or resale of illegally seized food products.” CGC said.
