FG News: Presidency reveals Ministers Tinubu will sack
FG News: President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, has issued a warning, stating that ministers who neglect their responsibilities will be fired by the President.
Usman stated that Tinubu is well-positioned to fulfill his pledge to improve and simplify Nigerians’ lives.
The warning was given by the presidential assistant at the start of the delivery desk officers of federal ministries’ technical retreat on implementing presidential priorities and ministerial deliverables in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.
Usman warned the ministers in attendance at the retreat to take their positions seriously and demanded the complete dedication of the directors of planning and delivery officers.

“We have to realize that the president means business when he says he will evaluate ministers and fire them if they don’t meet expectations,“ she stated.
You must realize that in your capacity as ministerial delivery desk officers, you serve as the central coordinating and delivery unit’s engine room, monitoring ministerial progress continuously and reporting obstacles and bottlenecks.
“We will be assessing FAAN on the passenger experience at the airports; are the escalators, lifts, and conveyor belts running well, as I previously mentioned at the Ministry of Aviation?
“What are the repercussions for airlines if their departure time is delayed? Everyone can see and feel these things.
“We want to see an increase in our index of fertilizer use per hectare when discussing agriculture, taking into account the associated investment made in fertilizer interventions.”
Usman had pledged that upon appointment, each minister would sign a performance contract with Tinubu.
According to her, the bond will specify the ministers’ responsibilities for 2024.
The bond will be used to monitor each minister’s performance through 2024, according to the presidential adviser.
Usman further mentioned that key performance indicators (KPIs) for the bond will be evaluated every quarter.
