Federal Fire Service Recruitment Portal 2024: To seek suitable applicants to fill unfilled posts in several departments, the Federal Fire Service (FFS) has created its portal. Applications must be filed online within six (6) weeks starting on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, according to a print advertisement by FFS.

According to the Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), there are two categories for qualified applicants. Assistant and Inspectorate Cadre.

According to FFS, applicants for Inspector of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07 (Nursing) must be Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) with credentials from accredited institutions.

Candidates for the position of Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF), CONPASS 06, must possess an NCE or National Diploma (ND) in a comparable discipline from an accredited polytechnic or institution.

“Applicants must possess a maximum of five (5) credits in no more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics, from the GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or other similar exams to be considered for the Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04 position.

Applicant must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in no more than two sittings, including at least English and Mathematics, from the GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or its equivalent for the positions of Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist), and CONPASS 3. A Class E driver’s license applicant has an edge over others.

Additionally, it has been suggested to candidates to print off the Referee Forms, which need to be properly filled out and turned in for the screening process.

Candidates should be aware that numerous applications will result in immediate disqualification, according to FFS.

The candidates must meet the necessary qualifications and be Nigerian citizens by birth to meet the recruitment’s legal requirements.

According to FFS, any credential or certificate that was not submitted and approved at the hiring center will not be recognized following the hiring process.

Candidates must be in excellent health, provide certificates of medical fitness from facilities accredited by the government, be of sound character, and not have a criminal record.

According to FFS, applicants must have been involved in any financial humiliation or be members of any secret society, cult, or drug addict, among other things.

“Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35, have a minimum height of 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 meters for women, and a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 meters for men. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.”
