M&E Intern Job Recruitment: The M&E Intern is preferably a generalist who will collaborate closely on all facets of project management and execution at the state level with project partners and the State Specialists (PSM, CM, &/or M&E). He or she helps the State specialists oversee typical LGA-level tasks, such as data entry, supply chain data collecting, last-mile delivery of health commodities, training, and LGA data validation meetings at medical institutions. 

By overseeing all project operations, the M&E Intern will support the State Specialist in making sure the project runs well. He or she will support the project’s logistical procedures for paperwork and procurement. Furthermore, the individual in question will support the State Specialist in guaranteeing the prompt and efficient execution of all technical tasks related to the project.

Accountabilities

  • Relationships with Partners and Donors, Project Management
  • The State M&E Intern will work with the in-country team and the State Specialists to:
  • In charge of submitting all activity reports in hard copy and soft copy.
  • Participate in the quality assurance procedures of the project. Toto makes sure that the local contractors and partners follow work plans closely, meet deadlines, deliverables, and benchmarks, and offer technical support as required, take part in monitoring the progress of the activities.
  • Assistance with knowledge management tasks, such as recording accomplishments, lessons discovered, and activity reports.
  • Help oversee the execution of programs and the utilization of resources.

Technical Assistance for the Project

  • The State M&E Intern, working with the in-country team and the State M&E Specialist, will:
  • Assist in the supervision of regular tasks including data validation and HMIS and LMIS data collecting
  • Regularly assist with data entry at the state level
  • Help the expert enhance the quality of the data

Requirements

  • Requires a graduate degree in biostatistics, health economics, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in public health and strengthening health systems must be one year or less.
  • The capacity to establish and preserve connections with sponsors, stakeholders, and senior-level coworkers.
  • The ability to set priorities, coordinate a range of tasks in a time-constrained setting, and fulfill deadlines with precision and excellence.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is necessary.
  • Skills related to training development and facilitation.
