Digital For All Challenge 2.0: As part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to develop the critical mass of digital skills necessary to accelerate diversification through innovation and digitalization, all interested parties can now apply through the DIGITAL FOR ALL CHALLENGE 2.0 application page.

Advantages

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in each of the three categories of the program, which are Young Learners (Ages 12-18), Youth Category (Ages 19-45), and Civil Servants.

The program’s website states that the first runner-up will receive a consolation award of N7.5 million, while the winner in each category will receive N10 million in cash. N5 million will be awarded to each category’s second runner-up.

Participants in the intermediate sub-category of the youth category will earn more benefits. N15 million will be awarded to the Intermediate Youth Category winner and N12.5 million to the first runner-up. The second runner-up in this category will get a monetary consolation prize of N10 million.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Young Learners Category, candidates must
Fall between the 8–18 age range.
Attend an elementary or secondary education program.
To be eligible for the competition, finish the training at your school and pass the fundamental digital literacy test.
Both your teacher and your school need to be signed up on the platform.

Aspirants for the Youth Category are required to:

Fall between the 19–45 age range.
Upon successful completion of the challenge’s basic or advanced digital skilling program, you will earn a certificate.
To be eligible for the Civil Servants Category, candidates must be employed as civil servants, have completed the challenge’s basic digital skilling program, and received a certificate.

Categories

Young Learners Category: To take part in this classification:
A minimum age range of 8 to 18 years old is required.
It is required of you that you are enrolled in elementary or secondary education.
To be eligible for the competition, you need to pass the fundamental digital literacy testing and finish the training at your school.
The platform registration of your teacher and school is required.
Only primary or secondary school instructors who are currently employed by their respective institutions are permitted to register on behalf of their institutions and students.

Youth Category: To take part in this category:

The age range for you to qualify is 19 to 45.
You have to finish the challenge’s basic or advanced digital skilling program and obtain a certificate.

Civil Servants Category:

You have to work as a civil servant.
You have to finish the challenge’s fundamental digital skilling program and obtain a certificate.

The course

In Abuja, the DigitalForAll initiative was just introduced. Through competitive incentives, Tech4Dev is implementing the initiative, which is designed to reward self-development and encourage the acquisition and use of digital skills. It is being carried out in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Joel Ogunsola, the originator of Tech4Dev, announced during the program’s introduction that state and regional competitions will be organized, with the grand finals taking place on NITDA’s Digital Nigeria International Conference and Exhibition Day.

He claims that the idea is motivated by the idea that every Nigerian has a right to digital literacy and skills for the workforce of the future.
