Empowerment Programs: Senator Empowers Over 15,000 People with N3bn
Empowerment Programs: With a comprehensive N3 billion empowerment initiative, Senator Olamilekan Adeola of the Ogun West Senatorial District has positively touched over 15,000 residents. A total of N1 billion in cash grants were given to beneficiaries from five local governments in addition to training in vocational skills such as fish production, leatherworking, sewing, confectioneries, ICT, and agriculture value chain.
In addition, participants received gas stoves, dryers, freezers, and sewing machines as part of the empowerment campaign. To improve access to healthcare, Senator Adeola also delivered five ambulances, 50 tricycles, and 30 minibusses to general hospitals in his district. To further support security measures, three Hilux patrol cars were assigned to Nigeria Police Area Commands.

Two brand-new buses each were given to Federal Polytechnic in Ilaro and Gateway ICT Polytechnic in Igbesa to improve their operational efficiency and mobility. Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin highlighted the program’s positive effects on the community while applauding Senator Adeola’s commitment to uplifting his constituents.
Senator Adeola underlined that the program’s objective is to provide adolescents and women in Ogun West with profitable self-employment options, regardless of their political, religious, or tribal connections.
He was upbeat that recipients would use their newly acquired abilities to launch Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses, promoting the expansion and improvement of the local economy.
