NPC Enumerators Training And Census: President Muhammadu Buhari suspended the 2023 Housing and Population Census Wednesday, according to Nasir Isa Kwarra, chairman of the National Population Commission, so that the succeeding administration may take control of the project and use the results for national development.
He spoke while in Abuja for a meeting with media executives.
“As you know, the commission has completed all of the census preparation tasks, including the enumeration area demarcation, the execution of pre-tests and trial censuses, and the hiring and training of census field workers.
Purchasing and setting up Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), establishing ICT infrastructures throughout the nation, and providing logistical support for advocacy and PR efforts.
