Staff from NPC AdHoc protest the non-payment of allowances in this state

NPC AdHoc Staff – Since February 2023, more than 300 ad hoc employees of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Kano have protested the non-payment of their 18 days training allowances.

Their spokesperson, Aliyu Rulwanu, charged the commission with using a selected payment method, which he claimed was outside the provisions outlined in the contract. READ MORE: npc-hot-announcement-today-28th-april-national-population-commission-staff-must-notice

“Despite assuring us that their unpaid allowances will be paid, we have complained in writing to all relevant authorities numerous times about the predicament of the ad hoc personnel. We have no choice but to start this nonviolent demonstration,” he stated.

When reached, Jamila Abdulkadir Sulaiman, the NPC’s Kano Public Relations Officer, explained that the staff had filled out the papers incorrectly and that the commission was taking its time to correct them.

“They’ve admitted that some of them have gotten all their payouts, and this is because they filled out their papers correctly. I want to ask them once more to be patient since everyone will soon receive their payment, she stated.
