Muslims worry that the proposed dates for the NPC Enumerators’ new training—March 28–April 2 in 2023—will interfere with their ability to participate fully in the fasting month of Ramadan.
NPC Enumerators Training Date 2023 – The LGA Level Training for Enumerators and Supervisors is an essential part of the operation that many people are eagerly awaiting to begin: the National Population Commission’s (NPC) enumeration effort.
However, the NPC just revealed that the training, which was set to start on February 6th, 2023, has been postponed. Several individuals have questions regarding this news, like why the training was canceled and when the new training dates will be revealed.
The LGA Level Training was canceled, according to Mrs. Evelyn Arinola Olanipekun, Director of Census at the National Population Commission, because the enumeration timeframes recently changed. Mrs. Olanipekun informed NPC staff and the general public in a memo on Sunday that the updated training dates will be revealed shortly.
The NPC Director of Census went on to say that the Trainers had difficulty with the February 6 start date and that a change to the training plan was required to make room for the Facilitators and Specialist Workers.
They needed time to recover before starting the training of enumerators and supervisors because they had just finished their State Level Training on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

While many people may be disappointed by the cancellation of the LGA Level Training, it’s important to keep in mind that the NPC is working hard to make sure that the enumeration exercise is conducted effectively and efficiently. Despite the cancellation of the intended commencement date of February 6, 2023, Mrs. Olanipekun said that self-learning sessions and a virtual classroom training will be scheduled prior to the LGA level training.
