Stability and Sustenance Partners with NYSC to Empower Corps Members in Entrepreneurship Training

Over 500 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) participants in Calabar, Cross River State, and other Nigerian states have received training and empowerment thanks to a partnership between Melody Fidel, founder of the Stability and Sustenance Business and Entrepreneurship Platform, and the NYSC.
The town hall training focused on how important it is to develop entrepreneurial skills to hire workers and support Nigeria’s economic development.

Melody Fidel urged corps members to take advantage of the chance to combine education and skills for both individual and societal gains. He emphasized that through lowering crime rates and generating job opportunities, entrepreneurship can strengthen Nigeria’s economy. The program’s goal was to inspire and enable young people to use business entrepreneurship to significantly advance the nation’s socioeconomic growth.

The NYSC State Director for Cross River State, Andrew Zemoh, praised the Stability and Sustenance team for their work inspiring and enabling young people. He emphasized the value of giving corps members practical experience and instruction that promotes independence and business.

A sewing machine and financial assistance for other corps members were given to Abo Emmanuel, a fashion entrepreneur and serving corps member, during the program.

The forthcoming Stability and Sustenance Summit, which is slated to take place in Abuja on February 1, 2024, at the International Conference Centre, is made possible by the success of the Stability and Sustenance NYSC collaboration program in Calabar.
