Sam Allardyce, the new manager of Leeds, claims he is “just as good” as Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp, and Pep Guardiola and that “nobody” is better than him in football.
The 68-year-old has been given the unenviable task of keeping Leeds in the Premier League with only four games left after making a shocking comeback to football after nearly two years away from the game to take over at Elland Road.
After a five-game losing streak, Allardyce takes over a Leeds team that is now in 17th place and only one goal above the relegation zone.
The former England manager will face four-time Premier League champion Pep Guardiola in his debut game in charge on Saturday at title-hunting Manchester City, live on Sky Sports.

In response to his hiring, he said: “It was a shock because this time of the season there are many managers who have changed hands, the most in the history of the Premier League, and I believed it was all over for this season.
“I didn’t have to think about it for long before I said yes. I had to move swiftly because of the circumstances so I could be here for at least a respectable lead into Manchester City.
“Many people have responded to my post with compliments. Some people assumed I was crazy because I loved the game so much.
“It’s a big responsibility, but one I want to take because of who Leeds are, to try and save this club and keep it in the Premier League.”
Allardyce: Biggest challenge of my career
Allardyce With only four games left, Allardyce needs to find a method to keep Leeds in the league.
Due to how few games are left, he claimed that it is only the biggest challenge of his career.
With a £2.5 million bonus if he can keep Leeds in the league, Allardyce is said to have agreed to a base wage of £500,000 for his four games in charge.
“Never say never,” he responded when asked if there was a chance he would stay at Elland Road past the rest of current season.
