“We’ll train more people, so don’t worry about Japa,” Tinubu reassures the people of Nigeria.
Nigerians should not be concerned about the large-scale migration of young professionals abroad, according to President Bola Tinubu.
Locals refer to the widespread migration of highly qualified professionals abroad in search of better opportunities as “Japa.”
More Nigerians will be trained to fill the positions left by those moving abroad, according to Tinubu, who made the announcement yesterday while on an official visit to Imo State to observe the start of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second term in Owerri.
“What exactly you are hearing about Japa’s condition is not to be worried about.” According to Tinubu, more personnel would be hired and given training.
