Camp Registration Requirements For NYSC 2024 Batch A Stream 1:
Other requirements, in addition to the necessary NIN, are as follows:
(a) A call-up letter that is original or that has been printed online.
(b) The original certificate or statement of results, endorsed by a duly appointed official and bearing their genuine signature.
(c) Identity card from school.
(b) International passports and original copies of all uploaded documentation are required for foreign graduates.
(e) Professionals who work in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, nursing, medical laboratory science, radiography, optometry, and health record and information management education must provide proof of their registration with their respective professional bodies.
(f). Before being registered, each Prospective Corps Member MUST additionally provide a Certificate of Fitness from a Government or Military Hospital that is stamped with the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and reflects their current state of health.
Extra Details:
1. It is recommended that all potential Corps Members scheduled for the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Orientation Course report to their designated camps as indicated on their call-up letters. Graduates with foreign training should come to the camp armed with original copies of all uploaded documentation and their international passports.
2. To keep themselves safe, prospective corps members are strongly recommended against traveling by night to the orientation camps. It is also recommended that they abandon their travel if it is expected to last until 6:00 p.m. and spend the night in safe locations such as corps lodges, NYSC Secretariat, military or police barracks, or other locations. The Call-up letters contain all pertinent information and instructions, therefore PCMs should carefully study them.
3. When sending their children to camp, parents and guardians are required to advise them to be cautious about security and avoid boarding unregistered vehicles or cars pulled up on the side of the road. It is urged that they only use motor parks that have been approved by the authorities to avoid becoming victims of thieves. They should also be cautioned about the risks associated with nighttime driving.
4. Prospective Corps Members of Mono/Polytechnics would need to provide National Diploma (ND) Certificates along with other pertinent documentation as a requirement for registration at the Orientation Camps around the country.
5. The Prospective Corps It is highly recommended that members refrain from bringing any forged documentation when registering for the Orientation Camp. The management has the necessary tools in place to crack down and bring charges against anyone found.
6. If the prospective corps member who obtained the call-up letter from his or her school loses it, they should get a police report and an affidavit, then go to the graduation institution to take the appropriate next steps. In the event of a loss, call-up letter printers who originally printed their documents online can reprint them.
7. The NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004’s Section 13 sub-sections 1(a) and (b) provide for prosecution of anyone who refuses to make himself available for service in the Service Corps, fails to report for duty as instructed in the call-up letter, or both.
8. By Section 13 sub-section 2(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, anyone who participates in the Service Corps despite not being eligible to do so or who has not been properly granted a Certificate of National Service or Certificate of Exemption, and who does so or attempts to do so, will face legal consequences.
9. Married women who are expecting or nursing and who are not deployed to their spouses’ homes may now proceed to the NYSC Orientation Camps in the states where their spouses currently reside to complete the orientation course. But to register, individuals must also bring the following other pertinent documents: (i) Proof of marriage; (ii) husband’s identity; (III). proof of the husband’s residential location.
