NIMC Update: For changing the date of birth, NIMC releases new guidelines

NIMC Update: New instructions for changing one’s date of birth have been released by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), which states that this alteration can only be made once in a lifetime.

As per the updated instructions released on Sunday, December 24, 2023, using its verified official X account, the National Population Commission (NPC) will now be required to provide an electronic civil registration and vital statistics system (e-CRVS) certificate to applicants.
 
The DG/CEO, of NIMC, will now get copies of any other legitimate documents, such as proof of identity and the letter of application for amendment.

The NIMC states that under the new regulations, date of birth modifications are only permitted once in a lifetime and exclusively at NIMC enrollment centers.

In light of this, the NIMC warns troubles that date of birth and other types of change are not permitted for NIMC license agents to perform.
