N-Power Payment Delay 9 Month – Director Described How Money Was Mopped Up With 440,000 thousand eligible Beneficiaries

N-Power Payment: In today’s Latest N-power News 2023, The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation’s Director of Finance and Account NSIP informed the committee during the budget defense that the N-Power Fund was diverted to other Ministries, which is why the beneficiaries’ nine months’ worth of outstanding stipends were not paid on time.

This was disclosed by the Director of the Ministry’s budget defense. The director presented the committee with the following report:

The money taken from the Social Investment office was recurring.
The N127 billion in funds that were taken from the Social Investment Office. These were paid for with Npower Stipends.
Each C1 was given a 15-month stipend. A 12-month service year and a 3-month departure package are provided.
From October to December 2022, stipend payments of three months were given to all C2.
From January to September 2023, a nine-month stipend is owed to Npower batch C 2.
There are 440,000 thousand eligible Beneficiaries.

Likely, the Ministry did not pay the beneficiaries of the N-Power fund until the Federal Government transferred funds from the Npower Account to other Ministries.

The Ministry’s director of finance for the NSIP said that despite the Minister’s earlier statement in an interview that money had been recovered and that Npower program beneficiaries would soon receive payment, they are still having difficulty obtaining funding to cover the N-Power beneficiaries’ unpaid stipends.
