So continue reading! In a recent Facebook update, Nasims stated that we believe it is critical to answer repeated inquiries about the start date for the unpaid stipends owing to Npower beneficiaries.
Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended NSIPA, including the Npower initiative, months ago (12th January 2024). This suspension was initiated in response to the discovery of suspicious and irregular actions within the ministry. As part of this procedure, an investigation was begun, with a six-week timeline. The issue did not unfold as we were told.

As of today, Npower is suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation. As a result, Honorable Billy Osawaru, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Poverty Alleviation, introduced a motion in the House of Representatives calling for the suspension to be lifted.
In the meantime, Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, the Permanent Secretary of the Humanitarian Ministry, has been tasked with managing the ministry’s operations during this investigation. His responsibilities are strictly limited to internal operations, with no engagement in Social Investment Programs.
It is vital to emphasize that his time in this role is temporary and limited. Regarding unpaid Npower payments, we regret to notify you that no updates will be provided until the suspension is removed or further developments occur.
