Grant News Today: The N200 billion Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme is now being paid out to approved applicants by the Federal Government. Don’t forget that the FGGRANTLOAN: Application For Presidential Palliative Grant is closed.
The Bank of Industry announced that it will provide three funding categories to assist the nation’s manufacturers and firms. During a progress report on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Industry, Trade, and Investment Minister Doris Anite revealed that some award recipients had already gotten their funds.
She also mentioned that verified applicants will receive another payout by April 17, 18, and 19.
“We are happy to notify you that the Presidential Conditional Grant Program disbursement process has officially begun,” the spokesperson stated. The first grants have been disbursed in phases, with some beneficiaries having received their awards already.
A sizable payout will be given to a sizable percentage of confirmed applicants by Friday, April 19, 2024. It is crucial to realize that not every applicant will receive their grant on this first date; instead, disbursements are ongoing. But don’t worry—all confirmed applicants will eventually get their scholarships in later stages.
Anite continued, pleading with stakeholders to exercise patience: “The President Bola Tinubu Administration is committed to ensuring a seamless and transparent process because we recognize the importance of these funds in helping our residents’ businesses and livelihoods.
The early delays in providing shortcodes for NIN verification and application continuation have been effectively addressed in cooperation with telecom carriers. As we continue to handle the applications fairly and with the utmost effort, we kindly beg for your patience. Each application will receive the attention it merits thanks to the phased disbursement plan’s thoughtful design.
We truly appreciate your understanding and tolerance during this process. Stay tuned for more information. We appreciate all that you have done to help our country’s economy flourish, and we look forward to doing even more together,” the message said.
In an earlier speech, President Bola Tinubu announced the gift and outlined his goals to fortify the manufacturing sector, boost its growth potential, and generate well-paying jobs.
Two weeks later, applicants received instructions on how to provide their National Identity Numbers to be eligible for the grant that was intended to lessen the impact that recent economic reforms had on the nation’s enterprises.
