CBN Latest Update: Social media articles going viral purport that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is awarding cash handouts to residents worth 500,000 naira.
According to Legit.ng, many Nigerians are suffering financially as a result of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s elimination of fuel subsidies, and the majority of them require palliative care to ensure their well-being.
The N500,000 cash grant allegation was looked into by a fact-checking organization, which concluded that the purported chance is just another scam.
Abuja, Federal Capital Territory -The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is allegedly offering “palliative loans” for 2024, according to certain posts on the well-known social networking site Facebook.
The assertion was examined by Africa Check, a fact-checking website because it was widely reported.
Africa Check declared that the claim was untrue and did not originate from the CBN after it was examined.
The platform claimed to have looked into whether President Tinubu is providing any loan services or awarding grants totaling half a million dollars through the CBN and to have discovered no proof of such activity.
