3MTT: The Foundation starts hiring Community Managers in 36 states.
3MTT community managers: As part of its continuing 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, the Federal Government has announced the start of a recruiting exercise for Community Managers.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy made this announcement.
As a result of the nationwide hiring campaign, the Ministry suggests that 37 Learning 3mtt Society Managers will be appointed across Nigeria, tasked with organizing the community members’ activities.
“To oversee community members’ activities, we are searching for 37 Learning 3mtt Community Managers throughout Nigeria as part of the launch of the #3MTT program. According to a Ministry article posted on X, the #3MTT Learning Community is a group of learners with complete access to a structured curriculum and a network of learners to assist them.

The role
The recruitment page’s job criteria state that the 3MTT Community Manager will be in charge of the following:
“Building, establishing, and sustaining 3MTT’s technical talent community and its initiatives both internally and externally within your state, as well as scalable programs that draw in a wide range of aspirational Nigerian technologists and train them for the tech workforce and other opportunities in your state’s digital economy;
“You must be the community leader and 3MTT brand owner in your state to recruit new and current fellows and community members to the program. Create and maintain regional and state-specific outreach and communications programs for the general public;
“Create development plans, success measurements, and building models to ensure we get Wonderful 3MTT community in your state grows and succeeds over the long run. assisting the group in creating and monitoring metrics to assess the success of the selection process and learner progress; and
“Overseeing the recruitment of experts, venues, hubs, and other stakeholders to serve as volunteer facilitators and other event hosts in Nigeria.”
It will also be expected of the community managers to establish the state’s strategy for community development and involvement; Encourage advocacy, manage production, and provide materials for community involvement; Provide resources and initiatives that will enable your state to contribute to talent onboarding; Attend conferences on behalf of the project, plan, and lead get-togethers in their state, and create chances to interact with pertinent partners in a way that maximizes benefits for the 3MTT community.
Qualifications
According to the Ministry, a minimum of three to four years of relevant managerial experience and good leadership abilities are required for this position. Additional prerequisites consist of:
“Having a thorough understanding of the Nigerian developer ecosystem would be advantageous (as would having other noteworthy community management experience).” Knowing how to use technology to create scalable teams, programs, and systems without sacrificing quality
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to keen listening abilities. Be a self-starter who can complete jobs with little guidance.
Possess a strong sense of organization and attention to detail. possess a solid track record of professional relationship-building as well as initiative and perseverance.

Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Ministry’s supervising minister, claims that the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program is an essential component of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. Its goal is to strengthen Nigeria’s technical talent base to drive the country’s digital economy and establish Nigeria as a net talent exporter.
The program’s initial phase, which will be carried out in partnership with NITDA, will engage several stakeholders, including placement agencies, training providers, fellows, and partners.
