Tinubu suspends school feeding: Increase funding for school feeding program, Tinubu tells governors: President Bola Tinubu has encouraged governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress to make schooling a priority for children.
“Involving all governors in the school-feeding program—including the opposition governors—is the best method to advance education. When meeting with members of the Progressive Governors Forum at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu urged them to “please, take it seriously.”
In a statement released on Friday and signed by his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu requested that the officials create and carry out policies that put the interests of all Nigerians above their political affiliations.

The four NSIPA programs—the N-Power Program, the Conditional Cash Transfer Program, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program, and the Home Grown School Feeding Program—have all been suspended for a minimum of six weeks, according to a statement released on Friday and signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The President made this decision, according to Imohiosen, because of the “ongoing investigation of alleged malfeasance in the management of the agency and its programs.”
He maintained that until there is inclusivity, ownership, and sustainability, development policies will then become fully relevant in people’s lives. One of the main issues facing the country, according to the Nigerian leader, is division.
He stated that as a result, the governing party needs to ensure that there is a shared national vision and devote resources and energy to nation-building to work toward healing and unifying the nation. “You have the power to change others. You can persuade them to support you, he said.
He reasoned that Nigeria wasn’t going to struggle with a lack of world-class healthcare, education, or infrastructure because it had too many natural, human, and material resources at its disposal. And with that, he confirmed, the nation’s whole financial system would be redesigned for efficiency, efficacy, and inclusion.
