They make up the bulk of SME owners in the nation and are investment multipliers. Women who receive grants benefit economically and have higher living standards, which changes communities and elevates homes.

Selected female- and youth-led SMEs displayed their goods during the event, and they conversed with Odii and the minister on matters impacting their expansion, including taxes, regulations, and operating expenses, especially energy.
In response, the DG of SMEDAN announced plans to cooperate with pertinent organizations like the CAC, NAFDAC, and REA to improve regulatory frameworks for company expansion and create a welcoming business environment.
Kennedy-Ohanenye praised SMEDAN for placing a high priority on women and stated that her ministry is prepared to work with other organizations to support the interests of female small-business owners to realize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, which aims to eradicate poverty and foster inclusive growth.
