Police Service Recruitment: The New Date Applicants Set For Medical Screening
Police Service Recruitment: The medical examination of candidates who have been shortlisted for the Police Constable cadre will take place on April 16, 2024, according to the Police Service Commission (PSC). Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC spokesperson, revealed this in a statement on Monday.
According to Ani, the date of April 16 was chosen to accommodate the conclusion of both the Christian Lenten season and the continuing Muslim Ramadan fast, along with other related religious duties. According to the statement, the screening will indicate that the exercise has successfully concluded and is anticipated to last for two weeks.

A practical test and a medical screening will also be done throughout the period for specialist applicants who took part in the physical and credentials screening but did not take part in the computer-based assessments administered by JAMB.
A portion of the announcement stated: “The exercises are anticipated to take place in the Nigeria Police Force’s 17 zonal command headquarters as well as in the states of Kaduna, Yobe, and Zamfara, which have been given special priority due to the security challenges in those states. The screening and practical exams for candidates from these states must be completed in their home states.
The exercises will also be held at Police Colleges in the states that house the zonal command headquarters.
Candidates who have been shortlisted will receive a comprehensive schedule of when and where to report to the screening locations from the Police Recruitment Board.
“Those who pass this medical screening will continue to Police Colleges to complete their required training.”
