NYSC NEWS: NYSC List This As New Criteria For PCMS 2024 Mobilization Registration
NYSC NEWS: The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management announced that all eligible prospective corps members are expected to register for mobilization using their National Identification Numbers (NIN) beginning with the 2024 mobilization exercise.
This was discussed during today’s meeting in Abuja between the management of the NYSC, led by Brigadier General YD Ahmed, and the management of the National Identification Management Commission, led by Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote.
Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director General of NYSC, stated that the online registration procedure for the Scheme will be strengthened by the partnership with NIMC on Corps Mobilization.
He continued by saying that although the 2014 introduction of the NYSC Integrated system had greatly aided the Scheme in its mobilization process, there was still room for improvement.
The Director General of NIMC, Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote, pledged during the visit that the commission would be prepared to work with both agencies.
She praised the NYSC’s mobilization procedures as well as the Scheme’s efforts throughout its more than 50 years of operation to shape Corps Members for leadership roles.
According to the head of NIMC, the synergy will solve several problems and streamline the mobilization procedure as a whole.
She continued by saying that the commission has cooperated with other government entities and has pledged to provide the best services to the country.
