Plan International is an autonomous, non-profit development and humanitarian organization that promotes girls’ equality and children’s rights. We advocate for children’s rights from conception to maturity, and we give them the tools they need to anticipate and overcome challenges.
We believe in every child’s strength and potential, but we are aware that this is frequently stifled by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination.
By addressing the underlying causes of the difficulties girls and vulnerable children confront, we work for a just world with the help of children, young people, supporters, and partners. Using our reach, expertise, and knowledge, we have been forming strong relationships for children for more than 85 years and are currently engaged in more than 70 countries. We do this by influencing practice and policy at the local, national, and international levels.
