In today’s Latest Npower News For Today 13 February 2024, The six-week deadline for the ongoing investigation into the alleged mismanagement of funds will soon bring to light the specifics and results of President Bola Tinubu’s recent suspension of the four NSIPA programs: NPOWER, Conditional Cash Transfer, Government Enterprise and Empowerment, and Home-Grown School Feeding.

All NSIPA-related operations, including but not limited to distributions, events, payments, collaborations, and registrations, have been discontinued as a result of the suspension.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has, nevertheless, made greater financial recoveries. The N30 billion from the N37,170,855,753.44 purportedly laundered in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the former minister Sadiya Umar-Farouk is the most recent fund recovery.

Hopefully, the recovery of this money will soon enable the NSIP Program recipients to resume receiving payments.

About an alleged N17 billion scam, the EFCC is also still questioning Edu, and Halima Shehu, the suspended Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIPA), is also being questioned on an alleged N44 billion fraud.
