NIMC News Today: Increased computer distribution from NIMC to states expedites NIN enrollment, To expedite the National Identity Number (NIN) enrollment process, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) said that it has increased the number of computers it has placed throughout its state centers.

Abisoye Odusote-Coker stated that initiatives were taken to alleviate NIN enrollment issues and boost operating capacity, including the delivery of additional enrolment systems to all states.

10.13 million NINs were issued in all of last year, according to NIMC data. The NIN database had 94.03 million records as of December 2022.
The World Bank has set a target of 148 million by June 2024, which is less than six months away, but registration for the NIN has been sluggish.
