Great News To: National Social Investment Programme NSIP For The Approval Of Outstanding Payment by the Federal Government
The National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) recipients, including independent monitors and other payees, have all received approval from the federal government for all overdue payments.
This was revealed at the flag-off workshop for independent monitors of the NSIP by Hajia Sadiya Umaru Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development.
To the Flag Off training for Independent Monitors of the National Social Investment Program, Farouq, however, welcomed all the beneficiaries.
She claimed that the workshop offers a chance to enhance the design and execution of upcoming programs.
The minister said that the NSIP, which consists of four programs to address various societal issues, is the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s main program to reduce poverty.
NPower, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), the Conditional Cash Transfer Program (CCT), and the National Home-Grown School Feeding Program are some of these initiatives.
She said that the Ministry created a reliable Monitoring and Evaluation system to guarantee successful implementation and maximize the effects of the NSIP.
At the local, state, and federal levels, there are three tiers to this structure.
“At the local government level, we’ve hired 7,500 independent monitors to oversee program execution across 36 states and the FCT. From 774 local government areas, the Independent Monitors routinely gather and report data.
