Rejects tinubu’s Inauguration,  Vows To Reclaim ‘Mandate’ 2023 Full Speech

Bola Tinubu’s inauguration as president is unlawful, according to Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections. He asserts that the Labour Party won the election and will assert its mandate in court if justice is served.

After attending a wedding at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna, Datti, who was joined by his presidential candidate Peter Obi, addressed the newsmen.

Let’s not forget that we are law-abiding people who are powerless to overthrow the government, he urged. As I have constantly maintained, God is paramount, then the state, and then the individual. The government has the power to be just if it so chooses.

“We have stated that we feel the most recent election was unfairly biased against us. We have the legal right to file a lawsuit for compensation, and we are awaiting Nigerians’ approval, which is our mandate.

“Peter Obi and I won this election, and if justice rules in Nigeria, by God’s grace, we will lead Nigeria and fix the country,” Peter Obi said after winning the poll.

He claimed that even if they inaugurate the president-elect, it won’t make people like them any weaker; rather, it will only strengthen them.

Peter Obi asserted that the legitimacy of President Bola Tinubu’s inauguration will be decided by the court.

Obi acknowledged the issues with Nigerian democracy but emphasized the importance of maintaining peace among Nigerians.

“There are issues with Nigeria’s democracy, but we must live peacefully and focus on addressing the country’s challenges such as security, poverty, education, and other crucial matters that require our attention.”

When asked about the legality of the new president’s swearing-in on Monday, he said, “Well, the court will decide. As I mentioned earlier, we must continue to pursue peace, religious harmony, ethnic harmony, and coexistence. These are the most important things at the moment.”

Obi acknowledged the problems with Nigeria’s democracy but underlined the significance of keeping the country’s citizens at peace.

“There are problems with Nigeria’s democracy, but we must live in harmony and concentrate on solving the problems facing the nation, including security, poverty, education, and other pressing issues that demand our attention,”

He responded, “Well, the court will decide,” when questioned about the constitutionality of the new president’s oath-taking on Monday. We must continue to work toward peace, religious harmony, ethnic harmony, and coexistence, as I already indicated. Right now, these are the most crucial issues.
