Job Description (CONTEXTUAL BACKGROUND).
Since 2012, when it responded to flooding in Kogi state, the IRC has operated in Nigeria. The IRC relocated to Adamawa State in NE Nigeria in February 2014 to deliver humanitarian interventions for conflict-affected populations using a multi-sectoral, integrated strategy.
IRC Nigeria today runs a national office in Abuja as well as field offices in the states of Adamawa (Mubi and Yola), Borno (Maiduguri and Monguno), and Yobe (Damaturu).
Programs for primary healthcare, nutrition, environmental health, women’s protection and empowerment, protection, child protection, education, food security & livelihoods, and IRC Nigeria are currently being implemented.
