First Bank has posted a job position for recent graduates and detailed the qualifications required. The most recent position is for recent graduates who are eager to launch their banking careers but have little to no experience. To be considered, interested candidates must submit their application before the deadline.
First Bank, one of the oldest financial organizations in Nigeria, has announced that it is now taking graduate applications for its graduate training program. Companies create graduate programs to attract and nurture new graduates into their workforce.
The message posted by First Bank reads:
“The Graduate Trainee Program is an annual hiring initiative designed to draw in young, bright, and skilled people to fill the expanding workforce needs throughout the organization. The program also serves as a pipeline for future leaders who will propel the Bank to new heights.
“With the appropriate behavioral features and a minimum academic qualification of a bachelor’s degree with a second-class lower division or HND upper credit, this program is specifically developed for recent graduates under the age of 27.
“This program feeds into the Bank’s career and succession planning to create a pool of replacement candidates for internal staff identified for other career opportunities across departments/directorates, thereby enhancing employees’ career mobility in the Bank.”
The requirements to qualify
The following competencies are required of candidates interested in participating in the FirstBank Graduate Trainee Program:
Outstanding communication abilities strong aptitude for analysis Proficient in interpersonal communication and connection building Self-motivated and focused on outcomes Exceptionally creative and capable of addressing problems a reliable team member
Below are the eligibility criteria for Nigeria.
A maximum age of 27 years by 30 September 2024
A minimum of 5 credits (including English and Mathematics) in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
University Educational Qualification – A minimum of Second Class Honours (Lower Division) or HND (Upper Credit) in any discipline
NYSC completion by 30 June 2024
