N15,000 cash transfer to Nigerians Latest News Today 29th April
Cash Transfer News: Ministry disputes reports that it sent Nigerians N15,000. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Nigeria has refuted reports that N15,000 is being distributed to individuals nationwide as a palliative measure. Patricia Deworitshe, the ministry’s director of information, signed a statement that stated this on Saturday.
In its story, the online media “falsely claimed that the ministry was in the process of providing an instant relief fund of N15,000 to Nigerians,” Mrs. Deworitshe alleged.
The public is not currently receiving any kind of financial assistance from the organization, hence the statement asked people to ignore the claim.

“The ministry would like to notify the public that it is not currently providing such funds.
She stated, “The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is not the source of this information, so the public should take notice and exercise caution.”

“Ministry not recruiting”
In a similar vein, the ministry cautioned Nigerians not to believe rumors that a medical institution recruitment drive was still underway.
The spokeswoman issued another statement, saying, “The Ministry is not currently in the process of recruiting general staff for the hospitals.”
She said that just a few federal tertiary institutions received recruitment calls from the ministry for Chief Medical Directors and Directors of Administration positions.
Last week, the recruiting notice was published in the Daily Trust and Punch Newspapers. “The Federal Ministry of Health is not the target of this recruitment exercise; this is the responsibility of the Federal Civil Service Commission,” she stated.
