The PUNCH has learned that Nasir Isa-Kwarra, the chairman of the National Population Commission, will meet with President Bola Tinubu this week.
NPC Chairman : According to information obtained by our correspondent, the meeting may be related to recent developments regarding the 2023 Population and Housing Census, which was originally slated to take place from May 3–7 but has now been postponed indefinitely.

The NPC’s spokesman, Isiaka Yahaya, told our correspondent on Tuesday that the chairman will meet with the president this week, but she was unable to provide a specific time. We are preparing a presentation to inform President Tinubu of the status of the census preparation.
Yahaya responded, “We are still continuing with our activities, such as sensitization and online training, among other activities,” when asked if they were still going on in advance of the census.
